Kenan Foundation Asia and Bac Ninh Province Launch “Schneider ePBL Conserve My Planet” project sponsored by Schneider Electric Foundation to Advance Environmental Education and Sustainable Energy in Vocational Institutions
BAC NINH, VIETNAM – May 8th, 2025 – Kenan Foundation Asia (Thailand), in collaboration with the Education and Training Department of Bac Ninh Province, proudly announces the launch of the “Schneider ePBL Conserve My Planet” project. This initiative, funded by the Schneider Electric Foundation and Schneider Electric Group, aims to significantly enhance the capacity of teachers and students in vocational education institutions within Bac Ninh Province in the areas of energy saving, environmental protection, and sustainable development.
About the project
The “Schneider ePBL Conserve My Planet” project’s content and approach are adapted from the successful global “Conserve My Planet” program developed by the Schneider Electric Foundation. Approved by the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh Province through Decision No. 708/QĐ-UBND on April 24, 2025, the project will run from May 2025 to December 2026, focusing on three key components:
Teacher and Student Training: Comprehensive training sessions for 110 teachers and 10,560 students across vocational colleges and secondary schools. In the first year, 50 teachers and 6,200 students in Bac Ninh will be trained, followed by 60 teachers and 4,360 students in Hanoi and Bac Ninh in the second year. Key topics include energy saving, renewable energy sources, electronic waste management, the 3R model (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), and integrating environmental protection principles into teaching methodologies.
Hands-on Learning and Engagement: Practical training sessions, interactive activities, and a dedicated Green Energy Camping Day will empower students to apply their acquired knowledge to real-world environmental challenges and foster the development of innovative green solutions. Professional Learning Community: Establishing and nurturing a “Professional Learning Community—PLC” to facilitate continuous learning and knowledge exchange among teachers and experts. This platform will support sharing effective teaching methods and implementing project-based learning (PBL) programs focused on environmental protection within the Southeast Asian context.
